Sunday, June 2 Alan Brooks Nature Centre plus birding in and around Vernon. Evalyn Wood and Jack Somers

Sunday, June 23 Kilpoola area, grasslands (Lyall’s Mariposa lily, Clarkia and more). Leader: Mits Hikichi

June 29 – July 1 Kumsheen Rafting one day naturalist trip on the Thompson River and one day exploring Botanie Valley for birds and flowers. More details in May by e-mail regarding cost and accommodations after presentation by Bernie Fandrich at April SONC meeting

July 30 – Aug 2 Sun Peaks, Kamloops Three nights for price of two. Mountain hikes and chairlift. Details regarding cost , accommodations plus a note from Jim Ginns (who did this last year) with more info in May.

Sunday, August 25 Bridesville, Rock Creek, Myers Lake. Leader: Jack Somers

Sunday, Sept 15 Hike to Big White Ecological Reserve. Still being organized.

Sunday, Oct 6 Trek to Oliver Mine and surrounding points of interest. Leader: Barney and Sarah Bedard

Sunday, Oct 13 KVR to Little Tunnel Lunch at Naramata Heritage Inn or Pub. Leader: Charmaine Foster

Field Trips
Field Trips are generally made in the spring and fall. A list of forthcoming trips will be placed in the Honker. Notify the trip leader of your intention to participate and inquire about trip duration, degree of difficulty and other requirements. Dress for the prevailing weather conditions, wear appropriate footwear, bring lunch and drinking water".
Pets are NOT appropriate.

Most day trips will commence at 9:00 am from the parking lot at Warren and Atkinson.
If overnight accommodation is required suitable accommodation and contact numbers
will be provided. Each participant will make their own arranagements.

Emails with specific details will be sent to SONC members approximately 1 month before each trip. Please confirm your attendance with leader assigned for each trip and advise if you can drive or will require carpooling.
