The Penticton Golf & Country Club is seeking certification under the Audubon International certification program which certifies golf courses that meet certains standards as being environmentally friendly. As part of this certification process, the golf Club is required to have bird surveys undertaken as well as undertake various other initiatives. SONC members are undertaking the bird surveys as well as advising on other matters such as the type and location of bird and bat nesting boxes, planting of native vegetation, etc.

Our bird surveys are generally carried out on Monday mornings. If you would like to participate in these surveys please contact Bob Handfield or Jim Turnbull.
