The contest is over - the response totally exceeded our expectations with nearly 600 entries submitted. The judging is finished. Here’s what happens next:

A photo exhibition will be held at the Penticton Museum opening on October 4th. All contestants invited to participate in the exhibition will be notified by email no later than September 6th.

All photographers who entered the contest will be invited to attend. The exhibition of 100 photos will feature the 19 winning photographs (3 in each category plus a Grand Prize winner) a number of honourable mentions and a number of photos selected by the Club to showcase the diversity of habitat and flora and fauna of the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen. The nineteen winners will be revealed at the exhibition opening. All photos exhibited will also be eligible to be voted the Raymond James People’s Choice Award to be chosen by those who visit the Museum during the exhibition.

A reminder that everyone winning a category prize as well as those selected for the exhibition will be required to submit a high-resolution print mounted on foam-core (unframed) for the exhibition. These prints will be returned to the owners at the end of the exhibition. All contestants who wish to have prints made will be given at 20% discount at the Penticton London Drugs Photo Lab. The discount will be extended to the foam-core mounting as well.

Prints for the exhibition must be 12x18 inches. Photo formats that don’t lend themselves to this size must not be smaller than 12x12. Panoramas may be 6x20.

All photos from the exhibition will be returned to the owners at the end of the show.
