Showy native Milkweed (Asclepias speciose). Milk sapped perennial wild grassland plant from the Dogbane family. Found along quiet Eastside Road beside Skaha Lake, Okanagan Falls area.

Pink blooms that signal the coming of summer, growing in grassland embankment. Bitterroot (Lewisia rediviva) apparently an Okanagan species at risk. Visited by Swallowtail butterfly (Papilionidae).
